What is block area?
Small = 1, medium = 2, large = 4 area units. Medium is twice the area of small; large is four times small. These are your subjective size choices, not measured intake or calories. Averages include logged days only.

Logging overview
Missing days are unknown, not days without food.
How these are calculated
Overnight: the last entry on one calendar day to the first on the next consecutive day. After-midnight snacks can shorten this gap; this does not identify sleep.
Daytime: every gap between consecutive entries on the same calendar day, including snacks.
Periods end yesterday, so today’s incomplete record does not affect comparisons. Gaps are assigned to the day they end. Missing days are excluded; gaps spanning missing days are not included.
Block area uses 1 / 2 / 4 for small / medium / large. Size mix counts occasions, not area. Timing uses local clock time. Weekday/weekend gap groups use the day the gap ends. First/last times are averages of local clock minutes; after-midnight entries count on their calendar date. Additional helpings change the existing entry size, keeping its original time and gap history.
Each average includes all eligible gaps. The 1-year chart uses calendar-month averages; other longer charts use consecutive 7-day buckets. First or last buckets may be partial. Changes compare with the preceding period of the same calendar length. Longer or shorter gaps are not scored.
